Our Promise
When you arrive in Thailand, you'll be greeted by your In-Country Coordinator. They will provide you with a full orientation briefing to help familiarize you with your new surroundings and workplace. You will also receive a schedule of your Venture's day to day activities, courtesy of your In-Country Coordinator and the Director of the local organisation. Throughout your stay Starfish provides a 24hr support service and your In-country Coordinator will always be on hand for help and advice.
Safety
Starfish Ventures two priorities are the safety of our volunteers and safety of the communities/projects our volunteers serve. As a Starfish Venture volunteer it is also your duty and responsibility to report any impropriety you witness. As a Starfish volunteer you too are responsible for the safety of our projects/communities.
Corporate Responsibility
Starfish Ventures tries to be an environmentally friendly organisation where ever possible. Starfish Ventures has decided to make its application process only available online. In addition, all of Starfish Ventures marketing material is available only online too.
Code of Conduct
As a Starfish volunteer you are expected to respect your placements culture, traditions and people. You are expected to follow all rules of your venture and except local practices. Abide by the rules of your accommodation. Remember you are a guest. Your country coordinators is their support you are expected to work in a self reliant manner.
