Dan Moore; Director and Founder

Having had extensive experience of being a volunteer teacher himself, Dan has first-hand knowledge of the excitement and rewards of working in Thailand. During his travels around Thailand, Dan became aware of a large amount of worthwhile projects that would benefit from the support a volunteer network that can provide both physical and financial assistance. Dan set up Starfish in order to create a company that would provide a long term commitment to projects in Thailand that went beyond simply placing volunteers.

Dan is now involved with all areas of Starfish, ensuring that projects are run well and that volunteers are happy. He also keeps his eyes open for more projects needing Starfish’s help, developing the company to enable it to reach further into Thai communities and environments with help, both in the form of manpower and skills and funding.

Anthony ‘AJ’ Kingsley; Director of Volunteer Programs

AJ is the newest recruit to the Starfish team. With his engineering knowledge and years of experience working in Asia, Starfish is very pleased to welcome him on board.

AJ’s primary role is to ensure that our volunteers are designed, managed and completed professionally, on time and within budget. He works very closely with our Surin management team and the local communities there to ensure the communities are receiving what they need and to make sure that we are working within their boundaries.

Steve Williams; Director of Information Services

Steve has been working with Starfish for over three years now. His dedication to helping poor Thai communities came from his time as a volunteer with Starfish back in 2007. With a background in sales and information management and extremely experienced within the Starfish group, Steve will most likely be your first point of contact. His knowledge of Thailand, the projects and the requirements of a volunteer means you are getting the very best information, on-time!

Mark Foster; Director of Volun - Tours

Another ex-volunteer, Mark has been with Starfish since 2009. He also has extensive knowledge of Asia, having been a teacher in both Japan and Korea. You will very often see Mark in Surin where he looks forward to spending time with our volunteers to answer your questions and point you in the right direction.

All of the team have years of experience with helping volunteers find the perfect placements in Thailand. The team work seven days a week, 24 hours a day to ensure you have the best possible time. If you have any questions before, during or after your project, do not hesitate to let any of us know.

Yanee Chaisawat; Administrative Manager

Yanee is based in our Bangkok office and assists with our day to day operations. You may well meet with Yanee when you arrive in Bangkok to begin your placement. Her infectious smile and willingness to please has made her many friends amongst our volunteers. She speaks perfect English and...
