Volunteer Work Thailand

Come and get your hands dirty in Thailand. Our community work support villages, families, and the elderly in one of Thailand’s poorest regions. In Dec 2008 work on the Starfish Farm begins too.

Our community work is based around helping people to help themselves such as income generating projects like vegetable gardens and mini fish farms. However our farm will be giving away all produce free of charge to the people most in need in the community.

Rural Income

The average monthly salary in rural Thailand is 3,000 – 4,000 baht for workers (approx £45 - £65). A simple fish pond will produce about 16,000 baht income (approx £250). Simple projects can make a huge difference to the lives of Thai people.

This is a real opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of rural people in Thailand.

Volunteer Travel

Most Starfish volunteer work is 4 days a week. You and your fellow volunteers will have the long weekend to explore locally or further afield. Travelling and experiencing Thailand’s beauty is all part of the volunteer experience. Our staff will help you organise your free time or end of placement travel. Come to Thailand, volunteer and travel, and have an amazing time.
