Starfish venture briefing kit

Once you have submitted your Booking Form and your deposit you will then receive the Starfish Briefing Kit. This kit contains useful information about volunteering and living in Thailand.

Airport pick up, transfers and stopovers

On arrival you will be met at Bangkok’s International Airport by one of our team who will then transfer you to a hotel in Bangkok where you will spend your first two nights. On your first full day you will be taken on a guided tour of Bangkok and visit some of the most popular tourist sites in the city. The following morning you, your fellow volunteers and your Starfish team member will all be transported to your project destination by air-conditioned train or coach.

In-country coordinator

Your In-Country Coordinator is your primary point of contact throughout the duration of your venture. They will be on hand to answer your questions and give you as much help as you require. They are only a phone call away at all times and are always available to help.

24-hour support service

In the unlikely event that you have any issues that you cannot resolve through your In Country Coordinator, Starfish also provides a 24-hour telephone and email support service. You will be able to discuss any problems with one of the Bangkok team who will work with the In-Country Coordinator to find a suitable solution.

Accommodation

Your accommodation will be organised before your arrival at your venture destination and is included in the cost of your venture. It will be basic, clean and functional.

Accommodation differs slightly from Venture to Venture. Information on each locations accommodation is included in the Briefing Kit. Alternatively please call and ask for more details.

Fully certified Starfish venture

Your Starfish venture has been fully certified by Starfish’s Venture Managers to ensure the volunteer program and living conditions are of a suitable standard and your work will be making the maximum impact for deserving causes.
