Volunteer Safety
At Starfish, we pride ourselves on the support our staff give to our volunteers. Not only are you accompanied on your projects each and every day, our team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our volunteers safety is our number one concern and top priority.
All of our projects are certified by one of our Venture Managers and Coordinators makes regular visits to ensure that volunteers are never in a situation deemed uncomfortable or unsafe. If you ever feel that you are being asked to do something you feel unsafe, please explain your concerns to your coordinator.
All volunteer accommodation (which is checked and cleaned regularly) is arranged in advance. Our volunteers only ever use accommodation that has been vetted by our team and we are happy to use.
We like to think we’ve thought of everything. We want our volunteers to have a safe, hassle-free time, so they concentrate on their project and get the most from their experience.
